NH State Police ID 71 Driving Violations In 3 Hours On I-93 In Salem
Police conducted a concentrated operation Monday and caught one driver going 90 mph and 24 drivers traveling at more than 90 mph.
SALEM, NH — The New Hampshire State Police said it identified 71 driving violations during a three-hour span Monday while conducting an operation concentrated on Interstate 93 in Salem.
The NHSP had troopers from its Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) and members of its Police Mobile Enforcement Unit on the scene in an effort to reduce speed and other hazardous driving behavior, the state police said.
The NHSP's SEU even utilized state police aircraft to monitor traffic and identify motor vehicle violations, according to the NHSP.

The state police said its troopers identified one driver traveling at over 100 mph and 24 drivers traveling at more than 90 mph. Plus, two drivers were cited for driving after suspension, the NHSP said.
"The New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit regularly interdicts elevated speed violations and other aggressive driving behaviors," the NHSP said in a statement. "(The SEU) members patrol across the state often utilizing the state police aircraft during commuter traffic periods and holiday travel times with the goal of keeping New Hampshire's roadways safe for all residents and visitors."
