Night Lane Closures Coming on I-93 in Salem

Night work is planned at Exit 2

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation has announced upcoming night work scheduled to take place as part of the construction of the new Interstate 93 Exit 2 Interchange in Salem.

The installation of portable concrete barriers along I-93 southbound will take place between April 8 and April 12.

The work will run during non-commuter hours, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The NHDOT anticipates five days needed to complete the work, although additional days might be required.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane while construction is taking place. The NHDOT is urging motorists to remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.

The work is part of the I-93 widening and reconstruction project in the vicinity of Exit 2. The general contractor for the work is George R. Cairns & Sons, Inc. of Windham.
