OBITUARY: Lena M. (Bean) Gavel

Lena M. (Bean) Gavel age 96 of Salem, NH, died Wednesday at her home in Salem.

She was born in Meriden, NH, where she grew up and attended .Kimball Union Academy. She was a resident of Salem for over 50 years.

Lena retired from General Electric in Lynn, MA, where she worked for over 30 years. She was one of thirteen children and grew up on her family farm. She loved talking about the good old days with her brothers and sisters. She enjoyed traveling cross country and abroad. Lena was also an avid Red Sox fan. 

She was predeceased by husbands Raymond A. Bernard and Erlon S. Gavel. She was also predeceased by her children Raymond E. Bernard and Janet Cuddy.

She is survived by her stepdaughter: Arlene Dube of Derry, NH

Daughter in Law: Gail Bernard of Salem, NH

Brothers: Herbert Bean of St. Cloud, FL

Raymond Bean of Chicopee, MA

Grandchildren: Raymond Bernard, Kathy Fessenden, Yvonne David, and Alan Morrison 

3 Great Grandchildren, many nieces and nephews
