Pond Street Closed for Culvert Construction

Pond Street is scheduled to be closed today, Aug. 5, and remain closed until Aug. 16 for the replacement of a stone culvert, according to the Salem Engineering Department.

Visit the town's project website for more information, but the following is a summary of the project from Salem Engineering and the closure:

"Pond Street will be closed to 'thru traffic' at approximately #70 Pond Street. Access to Copper Beech Road and #70 Pond St. will be provided from the Salem side of Pond St., whereas access to #72 Pond St. and beyond will be provided from the Methuen side of Pond St. Motorists are encouraged to be aware of the ongoing construction along Pond Street and Sand Hill Road."
