DERRY, NH — Route 28 in Derry is closed after a crash at the intersection of Lawrence Road on Monday.

Police and fire rescue teams were sent to the intersection just before 3 p.m. The first officers found a 2000 Honda Accord, “with significant front-end damage,” in the road, Capt. Vern Thomas of the Derry Police Department said. A second vehicle, a 2021 Freightliner propane truck, was also involved in the crash and was on South Range Road.

The driver of the Honda, a man, was taken by Derry fire and rescue teams to Parkland Medical Center and pronounced dead. The truck driver sustained injuries and was also taken to the medical center.
