Salem Humor Novelist Named a Finalist for Indie Book Award

Rodney Lacroix has had great success with his debut novel.

It took only a few months, but Salem novelist and blogger Rodney Lacroix is getting deserved recognition for his debut humor book.

Lacroix, who published "Things Go Wrong for Me" on December 14, received notice in May that his book was named a finalist in the "Humor/Comedy" category of the 2013 Next Generation Indie Book Awards.

Even better, Lacroix will be mailed a medal in June to acknowledge his accomplishment.

His book was also listed as a finalist in the 2013 Next Generation Indie Book Awards catalog, which was distributed at Book Expo America in New York last month.

According to an email sent to Lacroix, thousands of attendees visit the expo, including book buyers, library represntatives, media and industry professionals.
