Salem Legislator Resigns

Gary Azarian said he stepped down due to work and family obligations.

State Rep. Gary Azarian (R-Salem) announced this week that he is resigning his House seat due to work and family obligations, according to The Eagle-Tribune.

He told the newspaper it's still possible that he may run for selectman in the March town election. The town now has to decide whether to hold a special election to fill Azarian's seat, or wait until the November general election.
