Salem Police Dog Nabs Shoplifter With $3,500 Gold Chain: Cops
Salem police said Richard Miro stole a $3,500 gold chain from Macy's in The Mall at Rockingham Park then led officers on a chase.

SALEM, NH — A New Hampshire man was arrested Tuesday night after police said he stole a $3,500 gold chain from a mall store then led officers on a chase through the woods. Richard Miro (pictured), 30, of Sandown, was quickly captured by a K-9 team, according to Salem police Captain Joel Dolan.
Dolan said Miro stole the gold chain from Macy's in The Mall at Rockingham Park at about 5 p.m. Miro was accused of fleeing the store with loss prevention officers in pursuit.
Dolan said Miro hopped in his vehicle but then hopped back out and ran when he saw police cruisers descending on the mall.

Miro was charged with willful concealment and resisting arrest. He was held in custody on $1,000 bail pending an arraignment Wednesday in Rockingham County Superior Court Wednesday.
