Contestant Seeks Game Show Gold Dressed as an Egg

Amanda Altena of Salem fulfilled a life-long dream – while dressed as an egg – and the world will get to see her in living color when "Let's Make A Deal" airs Thursday. 

Altena was on the game show last Halloween, hence the costumes as "Bacon and Egg," but participants and audience members normally dress creatively for the daytime series.

The pretaped program airs on CBS on May 8, when Altena will no longer have to keep any secrets about the experience. 

"I can't wait for the episode to air so I can talk about it," she said in an interview. 

Altena, suffice to say, had a truly memorable experience meeting host Wayne Brady and facing the "Deals" and the "Zonks" on the show.

"Let's Make A Deal" is a modern version of the classic television game show where audience members try to win cash and prizes by making wacky deals.

"It had been a dream of mine to get on a game show," Altena said. "It was a great experience."
