Salem Resident, Spa Owner Indicted for Human Trafficking

Salem resident and Lawrence, Mass. day spa owner Lori Barron, 50, was indicted Thursday for three counts of human trafficking, according to the Eagle Tribune.

Barron also faces charges of maintaining a house of prostitution, deriving support from prostitution, witness intimidation, and videotaping unsuspecting nude persons. Barron was arrested earlier this month with the charges stemming from an investigation into her business – "The Day Spa for Gentlemen."

Earlier this week, police said that Barron's client list was over 1,000 and as many as 2,000.

Barron was arrested in Salem in 2011 and charged with two counts of prostitution for activity that took place at her former business – ETEA Weight Loss Spa. The business was located on 282 Main St.

Barron agreed to plead guilty to two misdemeanor charges and received a sentence of one year in jail, suspended for 12 months
