Salem Snowmobiler Strikes Tree In Columbia: NH Fish & Game
Crystal Coady was assisted by another snowmobiler and taken to Upper Connecticut Vally Hospital by the 45th Parallel EMS Tuesday afternoon.
SALEM, NH — A local woman was injured and taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after a crash in the North Country.
Around 5:30 p.m., the New Hampshire Fish & Game Department was alerted to a snowmobile crash in Columbia. A snowmobiler crashed into a tree and was brought by another rider to the Black Bear Tavern in Colebrook.
Members of the 45th Parallel EMS arrived to assist while NH State Police Troop F notified Fish & Game, Conservation Officer Austin Valladares said. The rider, Crystal Coady, 45, of Salem, was taken to the Upper Connecticut Vally Hospital for evaluation, he said.

“Witness statements indicate Coady was traveling on the Corridor Trail 7 in Columbia when she failed to negotiate a turn and struck a tree,” Valladares said. “Coady was able to ride as a passenger on another snowmobile to downtown Colebrook, where her riding companions then called 911 for assistance.”
Valladares said the crash was still under investigation.
