A male resident at a local nursing home and one of the facility's staff members will both donate their hair this week to help children with leukemia.
Paul Monty has been growing his hair for 1 1/2 years so representatives from the Childhood Leukemia Foundation can use it to make wigs as part of their "Wigs 4 Kids" program.
Monty and Salemhaven Technical Media Coordinator Lynda Drouin, a six-year cancer survivor, will each donate their hair Friday morning.

"Paul is a wonderful man who has lived at Salemhaven for some time, he has been growing his hair for a year and a half and is very excited to make such a charitable donation," said Drouin.
Salemhaven's in-house hairdressers Suzanne Liddell, the owner of Hair at Home, and Marie Bergeron will cut Monty's and Drouin's hair.
