Salem's Mall At Rockingham Park To Feature Holiday Giving Tree
The tree will have names of families in need, and shoppers are asked to purchase gift cards for those families.

SALEM, NH — The management team at Salem's Mall at Rockingham Park is teaming up with a local nonprofit to bring holiday cheer to families and children in need.
Beginning Friday, the mall, located at 99 Rockingham Park Blvd., will feature a Holiday Giving Tree, which will have the names of families and their wish lists.
Shoppers are asked to purchase gift cards of varying amounts for the families, who can then use the gift cards to purchase the items on their list.

After purchasing the gift cards, shoppers can deliver them to the mall's Management Office, which is located on Level Two, across from the food court. The office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The program, which is sponsored by Simon Property Group and the Salem Christmas Fund, will last until Dec. 15.

According to its website, the Salem Christmas Fund was founded in 1975 and initially was managed by the Town of Salem's Human Services Department. The group eventually formed a board of directors and began operating as a nonprofit.
"The Salem Christmas Fund is a nonprofit organization consisting of concerned residents who want to make it a little easier and less stressful for families who are having a difficult time, particularly during the holiday season," the group said in a statement.
