Salem's Tuscan Kitchen Will Serve Free Meals To Veterans On Nov. 11

SALEM, NH — Tuscan Brands has announced it will be commemorating Veterans Day next month by serving thousands of free meals to veterans at its restaurants in Salem and Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Boston, Burlington and Newburyport, Massachusetts.

Between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Nov. 11, veterans in those towns and a guest are invited to a family-style meal. Veterans and their guests can RSVP online or by calling the Tuscan Brands restaurant in their town.

Tuscan Brands founder Joe Faro said the company hopes to serve 4,000 veterans this year. Since 2010, Tuscan Brands has served 20,000 veterans on Veterans Day, according to Faro.

"It has been an honor to serve those who have served our country selflessly," Faro said. "The sacrifice that those young men and women have made to preserve the freedom of this great country is the reason we have been able to build our great company and provide jobs and growth opportunities for our employees and the surrounding communities," Faro said.

According to Tuscan Brands, the traditional Italian feast will begin with Tuscan Kitchen's signature penne Bolognese. The second course will include roast pork tenderloin paired with Yukon gold mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. Dessert will feature a freshly baked cookie and Italian dark-roasted coffee.
