Salem's Tuscan Market Offering Cooking, Drink-Making, Crafts Classes

In different classes, students will learn to make ricotta cannelloni with Pomodoro sauce, pizza, limoncello, and winter wreaths.

SALEM, NH — Salem's Tuscan Market has announced that it will be offering upcoming classes in Italian cooking, drink-making and wreath-making.

The classes will be held at Tuscan Village's La Scuola Culinaria Cooking School, which is located at Tuscan Village, 9 Via Toscana. Tickets to the classes are available online.

  • Ricotta Cannelloni with Pomodoro Sauce: 6 pm. to 8 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $65. Students will learn from the pros at Tuscan Market about how to make handmade cannelloni with ricotta and spinach filling, and topped with Pomodoro sauce.
  • Pasta Master Class: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday. Tickets are $65. The class features a hands-on lesson from the chef about making pasta dough from scratch. Students will learn how to make different shapes of pasta.
  • Building a Pizza and Make Your Own Mozzarella: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday. Tickets are $60. Students will learn how to make a perfect pizza and fresh mozzarella from scratch.
  • Holiday Wine Tasting: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 16. This class is sold out.
  • Make Your Own Limoncello with Italian Desserts: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 17. Tickets are $55. Students will learn to make the perfect limoncello with Luis, the beverage director. Each guest also will receive the ingredients to prepare their own limoncello at home. Plus, attendees will be able to snack on the finest Italian desserts at Tuscan Market.
  • Pasta Making With Sausage Ragu: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 17. Tickets are $65. Students will begin the class with a hands-on lesson from the chef about making pasta dough. Then, they will create a shape of pasta that, according to organizers, "pairs well with our hearty sausage ragu sauce."
  • Winter Wreath Making: 10 a.m. to noon on Dec. 18. Tickets are $88. The class is taught by a representative from "The Humbled Door." Students will create their own winter-inspired wreath using a mix of wintergreens, festive ribbon and other holiday-inspired flowers.
  • How To Make the Perfect Meatball: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 19. This class is sold out.
  • Fettuccini Alfredo: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 22. This class is sold out.
