Salem's Tuscan Market Offering Holiday Weekend Cooking Classes
In different classes, students will learn to make pasta, espresso, cocktails, risotto and pizza. There also is a wine tasting class.
SALEM, NH — Salem's Tuscan Market will be offering several Italian-themed cooking classes during the holiday weekend.
The classes are held at Tuscan Village's La Scoula Culinaria Cooking School, which is located at Tuscan Village, 9 Via Toscana. Tickets to the classes are available online.

- Pasta Master Class: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday. Tickets are $50. Students will begin the class with a hands-on lesson from the chef about how to make pasta dough. They will then make a dish that, according to organizers, will "leave you feeling as if you were born to be a chef."
- Wine Tasting With Italian Desserts: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday. Tickets are $40. Come enjoy your favorite Italian wines along with samples of Tuscan desserts.
- Making the Perfect Coffee/Espresso: 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Tickets are $50. Learn to craft the perfect expresso using Williams-Sonoma expresso machines. Students will receive a gift from Tuscan Market and 10 percent off at Williams-Sonoma for the day.
- Pasta Al Limone: Noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $65. In this new pasta-making class, the chef will teach how to make pasta from scratch and a limone sauce, all for the perfect pasta al limone dish.
- Saturday Summer Cocktails: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $55. Students will craft three cocktails with the beverage director. Students will learn tips and tricks to perfecting cocktails, and they will be able to test their creations. Food orders also will be taken.
- Hands-on Risotto: Noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $55. In this hands-on class, the chef will teach students how to make different kinds of risotto. Plus, the chef will show what to do with the leftovers for the next dinner.
- Hands-on Cappellacci: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $50. Learn how to make cappellacci from scratch. Sometimes called "big hats," cappellacci is a classic Italian pasta that you can fill with many different kinds of filling.
- Hands-on Pizza and Make Your Own Mozzarella: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday. Tickets are $55. Students will make pizza dough and fresh mozzarella from scratch. Then, the chef will show them how to make a perfect pizza.
- Hands-on Pizza and Make Your Own Mozzarella: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Tickets are $55.
