'Women for Brown' Announced

The "Women for Brown" team was announced Monday.

Scott Brown has announced a new women's coalition to support his bid for the Republican nomination and earn a chance to challenge U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-NH, in November.

The Women for Brown coalition has three co-chairs: former state Rep. Maureen Mooney of Merrimack, Julie Brown of Rochester, and Jane Lane of Keene, who is a former president of New Hampshire Federation of Republican Women.

The Women for Brown list released May 15:

Jane Lane (Co-Chair), Keene
Maureen Mooney (Co-Chair), Merrimack
Sue Bird, Mason
Carolyn Brown, Conway
Beverly Bruce, Wolfeboro
Karen Cervantes, Lebanon
Gerardine Ferlins, Hollis

Mooney, in a press release, said, "Scott Brown is a proven independent thinker who will fight for commonsense leadership and stand up to Washington to protect our families. Senator Shaheen has failed this test repeatedly with her vote for Obamacare, and she continues to be part of the problem and had no explanation for the broken promises hurting our families."
