
Salem Police are investigating a report of several gunshots being fired at a Salem home from a two-toned Honda Sedan with a distinct white rear end.
At 8:45 p.m., police responded to 17 Lake St. fo a report of a shooting. A neighbor walking a dog observed the car, which had several people in it, stop in front of the house.
Several gunshots were reportedly heard and then the suspect vehicle fled the area.

Salem detectives recovered three pistol rounds lodged into the siding of the home.
Later in the evening, Massachusetts State Police contacted Salem Police with regards to an abandoned vehicle on Route 495 that matched the description of the suspect vehicle in the shooting.

SPD seized the vehicle, and detectives are actively working the case to determine if that vehicle was the one involved.
No one was injured in the incident.
