The New Hampshire Executive Council recently authorized the state to enter into a four-year lease agreement with the town of Salem to provide courtroom and office space for the Salem Circuit Court at 35 Geremonty Drive. The $1,589,361 agreement is set to begin July 1 and end June 30, 2017. The state Bureau of Court Facilities will continue to rent the space and the town, in a nod to current budget limitations, has agreed to forgo its two-year lease extension option with an automatic 2 percent increase, instead having the four-year agreement.
