State Wants Drivers to Reduce Speed, Drive Carefully on I-93
The Eagle Tribune reported the news today.
The Eagle Tribune reported today that a portable message board is coming to the Windham/Salem area of Interstate 93 south, designed to encourage drivers to slow down and pay attention.
Pete Stamnas, who according to the report is overseeing the $800 million I-93 widening project for the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, said that the goal is to have the sign up by next week. The need for the sign was attributed to regular accidents that have snarled the morning commute for drivers heading toward Massachusetts.
Just this morning an accident near Exit 2 caused traffic problems. The incident involved a tractor trailer and SUV.
