Strong Winds Could Cause Power Outages Today

A wind advisory is in effect through 6 p.m.

A wind advisory is in effect for New Hampshire today, according to the National Weather Service.

Two episodes of strong winds are expected. The first round is Friday morning, with south to southwest wind gusts up to 50 mph. A second round of strong winds will occur Friday afternoon as a cold front sweeps across the region. Again, gusts up to 50 mph could occur.

The winds could knock down some small tree branches, resulting in isolated power outages. Driving may also be difficult.

The wind advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Friday.
