RYE, NH — A man from Salem faces charges after a fiery crash that occurred in June at Wallis Sands State Park.

Joshua Ginchereau, 41, of Salem was accused of speeding on Ocean Boulevard before the crash, according to police. The vehicle he was driving fell 100 feet onto the Wallis Sands State Park Beach.

Rye police and fire rescue teams were called to the crash scene on Father’s Day around 5:30 a.m. after calls indicated the vehicle had crashed and was on fire. Responders found a 2023 Ford F-150 pickup truck had driven off the scenic road and landed 100 feet beneath it after tumbling down the rocks. Ginchereau was able to get out of the vehicle himself following the crash, according to police.
