A 19-year-old Salem man was transported to Lawrence General Hospital early Thursday morning after the vehicle he was driving collided with a tree.
Brendon Cardone, 19, of Salem, was injured in the single-vehicle crash, which occurred near 11 Tyler St. around 11:58 p.m. Wednesday, according to Salem Police Chief Shawn Patten.
Patten said Cardone was the driver of the vehicle, although further details about the collision weren't immediately available. Cardone's condition was unknown Thursday morning.
No one else was injured, and Cardone didn't need to be extricated from the vehicle.
