3 Killed In Crash On Exit 2 Offramp Of Interstate 93 In Salem: Update

An elderly couple from Pelham and a woman from Salem were killed during a single-vehicle crash on the Exit 2 offramp of I-93 Sunday.

SALEM, NH — Three people died during a crash in Salem on Sunday on the Interstate 93 Exit offramp.

New Hampshire State Police, Salem firefighters, and police responded just after 2 p.m. for a vehicle that had left the rightside of the road and crashed. Firefighters accessed the three adults and pronounced them deceased at the scene.

The preliminary investigation at the scene has determined that a 2012 white Kia Sportage was traveling south along the offramp when it went off the right side of the road.

The vehicle traveled through the grass before striking a culvert. After impacting the culvert, the vehicle stopped just off the road, according to state police. It appears no other vehicles were involved in the incident.

The driver of the Kia and two passengers were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver has been identified as Rodney J. Dore, 71, of Pelham. State police identified the passengers as Anne J. Dore, 70, also of Pelham, and Lisana M. Alexander, 45, of Salem.

The offramp was partially shut down while troopers conducted the on-scene investigation. The ramp is expected to be fully open at 6 p.m.

State police were assisted at the scene by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
