Three Teens Charged Following Dispute Near Mall

Editor's note: The following entries are excerpts from logs submitted by Salem Police.

FEBRUARY 1, 2013

8:58 a.m. Caller reporting she was almost forced off the road and had to slam her brakes on due to two vehicles road racing at 284 N. Broadway St. One of the vehicles is a silver Volkswagon Golf and the other is a Cadillac Escalade. Both drivers have been counseled.

10:55 a.m. A 15-year-old juvenile is arrested at Salem High School on 44 Geremonty Drive for possession of controlled/narcotic drugs. Subject released to the mother.

3:51 p.m. Antonio Vasquez Jr. 43, of 461 Haverhill St. in Lawrence, Mass. is arrested at KMart on 161 S. Broadway St. and charged with two counts of willful concealment – theft and possession of controlled/narcotic drugs. Vasquez refusing bail and will be transported to jail.

9:47: Caller on Union Street reporting his wife is intoxicated and threatening to slash his tires. She is breaking things in the house. The two parties have been seperated for the evening.

11:53 p.m. Susan Hobbs, 21, of 106 Central St. in Hudson, N.H. is arrested at 63 N. Policy St. and 5 Brookdale Road and charged with possession of controlled/narcotic drugs.

FEBRUARY 2, 2013

5:25 p.m. A 16-year-old juvenile is arrested on 1 Mall Road and charged with unlawful possession of alcohol, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest or detention.

A 17-year-old juvenile is arrested on 1 Mall Road and charged with criminal threatening (intimidation, etc.), resisting arrest or detention, unlawful possession of alcohol and disorderly conduct.

Shane Francis Manning, 18, of 21 Sullivan Ct. Apt. 21 in Salem, N.H. is arrested on 1 Mall Road and charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of alcohol.

Security reported the three males having a dispute in the lot by the Food Court. The subjects left toward the Mobil. All three were released to their parents.

11:18 p.m. Julianne Potenza, 41, of 17 Green Acre Drive in Salem, N.H. is arrested on N. Policy Street and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated. Potenza was driving a Gray Ford F150, reportedly all over the road and swerving into oncoming traffic.

FEBRUARY 3, 2013

5:12 p.m. Daniel Paul Spero, 46, of 44 Taylor St. in Haverhill, Mass. is arrested at the Salem Police Department on 9 Veterans Memorial Parkway and charged with simple assault and criminal threatening (intimidation, etc.). Spero is released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail.
