Two Arrested Outside Circle K With Heroin
A Salem man and Methuen woman were both taken into custody on Thursday.

Salem Police arrested a Salem man and Methuen woman Thursday morning after officers found heroin in their vehicle at the Circle K convenience store.
George Pappargeris, 40, was charged with transportation of drugs (heroin) while Amie Viera, 29, was charged with possession of a controlled drug (heroin).
Officers responded at 9:27 a.m. to the store, located on 242 North Broadway. Management advised police dispatch that a silver Chevrolet Cavalier with Maine registration had backed in by the outdoor vacuum, located on the south side of the store.

According to management, the vehicle had been there for two days in a row.
Pappargeris and Viera were both in the vehicle when officers arrived, and drug paraphernalia was seen in plain view.

After receiving consent to search the vehicle, officers also found a small quanity of heroin.
The two were arrested without incident and the vehicle was towed back to the Salem Police Department pending a search warrant for additional contraband.
Both were arraigned at Salem District Court at 1 p.m. Pappareris was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail while Viera was held on $750 cash bail.
Viera was transported to the Rockingham County Jail.
