Two Men Flown With Serious Injuries After Electrocution Incident
Workers working on a roof on Mount Pleasant Street in Derry were injured after it appears ladders made contact with electrical lines.
DERRY, NH — Derry Fire, police, and EMS responded to a report of a person who was electrocuted and unresponsive on Mount Pleasent Street on Monday.
Responders arrived at about 6:30 p.m. and found two men who appeared to have been electrocuted on the ground in front of a residence. CPR was in progress when firefighters and paramedics arrived, they immediately began providing medical treatment.
Boston MedFlight was requested to Parkland Medical Center to meet the ambulance. One man was immediately transported to Parkland Medical Center by ambulance and the second man a short time later. According to radio broadcasts, the men both were “Status 1” patients, the most critical status.

Mount Pleasent Street was closed to traffic, and Eversource workers were requested to the scene. The Eversource workers worked to secure the scene and assist Derry fire and police.
The men had been performing roofing work to the house according to a neighbor who said they had been removing shingles all day. Two ladders were on the ground where the unresponsive men were located, and several power lines were located above the ladders.

Derry Fire Department requested the New Hampshire Fire Marshals Office respond to assist with the investigation. Derry Public Works brought a trailer with floodlights to the scene and set it up for investigators on the street. A person from the NH Electrical Inspector Department also arrived at the scene.
Derry police said two men were flown by medical helicopters to unknown hospitals and their medical condition is unknown.
