Your Guide to Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trots in NH

Beat those extra holiday pounds with some festive frolicking this Thanksgiving.

Seacoast Rotary's Annual 5K Turkey Trot: Held each year on Thanksgiving morning at 8:30 a.m. sharp, starting at Pierce Island in Portsmouth and ending at Strawbery Banke. More info here.

Windham Turkey Trot: The run starts at 9 a.m. outside of 70 Blossom Road. You can "trot" either the 3- or 5-mile route. More info here.

Merrimack Turkey Trot: Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Merrimack, this 5K road race starts at 8 a.m. at Merrimack High School, 38 McElwain Dr. More info here.

Concord's Galloping Gobbler: This 4-mile race starts at 9 a.m. at Bishop Brady High School at 25 Columbus Ave. More info here.

Greater Derry Turkey Trot: This 5K race begins at 9 a.m. at Galliens Town Beach on Beaver Lake, located on Route 102 in Derry. More info here.

Manchester's Fisher Cats Thanksgiving Day 5K: Begins at 9 a.m. at Fisher Cats Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, located at One Line Drive in Manchester. More info here.

Nashua's Great Gobbler Thanksgiving Day 5K: Begins at 8 a.m. at the Nashua High School South Track, 36 Riverside St.More info here.

And one more on the day after Thanksgiving...

Amherst Trot Off Your Turkey 5K: Indulge on Thursday, then hit the streets on Friday morning. The flat, scenic course begins and ends at the Amherst Village Green and includes a one-mile fun run. The 5K starts at 10 a.m., and the fun run starts at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 29. More info here.
