23-Year Windham Resident, Talented Artist Dies at 82

Lorraine Marie (Collard) Kneeland, 82 of Windham, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends at Parkland Medical Center on Monday, April 15th 2013 after a long period of declining health.

She was born on June 5, 1930 in Lawrence MA, the daughter of David G. Collard and Jeanne (Gagnon) Collard. She has resided in Windham NH for the past 23 years. She attended St. Anne’s Grammar School and was a graduate from Lawrence High School. She worked as a dental assistant for many years. Lorraine was a devoted Roman Catholic and parishioner of St. Matthews Church in Windham, NH. She was an avid reader and a talented artist specializing in painting murals for local school and stage settings.

Lorraine was a devoted wife, loving mother, aunt and grandmother. Her sister Lucille Labrecque, of Lawrence, MA, predeceases her.
She is survived by her loving, caring husband Michael E. Kneeland Jr. of 51 years, her sons: Michael (Mitch) E. Kneeland III DC, his family Kathy and Katrina of Londonderry, NH. Glenn J. Kneeland DC, his wife Donna and their children Delanie, Corey, Molly, and Ainsley of Windham, NH. John M. Kneeland, his wife Sherri and their children Andrea, Zachary and Samuel of Salem, NH. Fr. David (Scooter) Kneeland DC, Pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Lincoln, NH.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 18th at 10 AM at St Matthew Church, Windham NH. Burial will follow in Cemetery on the Plains, Windham NH. Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 17th from 4-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH.
