A Slippery Commute for Windham Residents?

Here are five things you should know today in Windham.

1. The weatherman says ... Light snow to begin the day gives way to a wintery mix this afternoon and evening. The National Weather Service has issued a special statement this morning for commuters, and the daytime high is forecasted at 39 degreed, with a 30-percent chance of rain and snow showers. The overnight low is 31 degrees with a 100-percent chance of precipitation.

2. Thanksgiving outlook. Though heavy rain and wind is expected Tuesday night through Wednesday, Thanksgiving's forecast now calls for a windy but dry day, with a forecasted high of 29-degrees and a 10-percent chance of rain.

3. Nutcrackers and dancing and sugar plum fairies, oh my! 
This weekend, the New England Dance Ensemble offers multiple performances of the timeless Christmas classic, The Nutcracker, at Windham High School. 4. Lace 'em up this holiday! 
This Thanksgiving, hundreds of people of all ages from Windham and nearby communities will line up with friends and family at 9 a.m. outside of 70 Blossom Road and trot, walk, stroll, bike or skate either the 3 or 5 mile route. Find more details on the 19th-annual tradition here.
