From Community Development Director Laura Scott:
The Windham, NH Community Development Department is undergoing some staffing changes that we would like you to be aware of.
We are in the final stages of the hiring process for the ZBA/Code Enforcement Administrator position, which was left vacant at the end of December when Tim Corwin moved to Dover for a full-time position. It is anticipated that this position will be filled in mid-February.

As a result of the 2012 proposed Department budget, the Department Secretary position was reduced from 32 hours/wk to 20 hours/wk. This is in-line with the other two Administrative positions in the Department. The employee that was in the position for many years, Ginny Gray, was offered the 20 hour/week position but she declined. Ginny has served the Town of Windham for many years and we wish her all the best.
Those of you that spend time in the Community Development Department, or have attended a ZBA or Conservation Commission meeting, will take no time in recognizing the “new” Department Secretary – Patricia Kovolyan. Pat has been the ZBA/Conservation Commission Assistant for almost 12 years and will do just as an amazing job in her new position as she did in her previous position.

Although we are all pleased to have Pat take on this new challenge, this means that we will be advertising and hiring a new ZBA/Conservation Commission Assistant. The position is currently posted and the deadline to apply is February 15th. It is anticipated that this position will be filled by the first week of April.
Finally, a new Minute Taker position has been added to the Department. This position will provide staff support to the ZBA and the Planning Board by attending and taking minutes at the meetings. This task is currently done by the Planning Assistant and the ZBA Assistant, both of which have done an excellent job. The creation of this position will free up existing staff time to provide better customer service and Department support within the allocated hours and budget constraints we have. The Minute Taker position is currently being advertised and it is anticipated that you will see a new face taking minutes at the meetings in early April.
Please know that the Community Development Department is committed to providing the best customer service possible to the Windham citizens and business owners and that we will do everything possible to ensure that does not change during this staffing flux. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like any additional information. Thank you
