In the last week, we have polled our readers on Facebook to find out whether they have had any bear sightings in the wooded corners of Windham this summer season.
The discussion topic stemmed from a report on our Salem NH Patch site earlier this month that several sightings had been reported along areas of Route 28 and Salem schools.
Most often bear sightings are reported in the northern portion of Salem, closer to the Windham border.
One reader reported a sighting a while back on Goodhue Road, located off of Route 28.
Another reader reported possible activity near the Derry/Windham line, while a third reader joked that there is a whole hill of bears halfway up Heritage Hill Road, in reference to Bear Hill Road.
We want to hear from readers. Have you spotted any bears on your street, in your backyard or in your travels about town? Sound off in the comments and tell us when and where the sighting took place.
