Blasting Continues This Week at Exit 3
The operations will take place along the southbound on-ramp.

Daytime blasting operations at Exit 3 will continue this week until the end of April.
According to a release from the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, the blasting will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. The operations will occur along the southbound on-ramp to Interstate 93.
The blasting work is necessary to construct the new alignment of I-93 southbound.

During the blasting, on-ramp traffic will be temporarily stopped. Extended on-ramp closures may be required to allow crews to safely removed blasted ledge from the roadway, due to its close proximity to the ramp.
Motorists on NH Route 111 seeking to go south on I-93 can either take I-93 northbound and reverse direction at Exit 4 or use Route 28 south by following the blue I-93 south emergency route signs to Exit 1.

The project is part of the construction of the new I-93 roadway in the vicinity of Exit 3.
R.S. Audley of Bow, N.H. is the general contractor for the $32 million project, which is scheduled for completion in 2016.
