Brave, Hardworking Windham Mom Is Daughter's Best Friend

WINDHAM, NH — Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

This submission comes from Hailey Beaudette, who nominated Sonya Beaudette of Windham. An additional submission was made for Sonya, by son Antonio Perez. Their answers are below, highlighted by name.

What makes your Mom extra special?

HAILEY: What makes my Mom special is that she is my best friend. She has given me so many opportunities to thrive in life and has supported me in every way. I know she has been through a lot in her life, yet she still stays strong and dedicates her life for her children and family to have a loving, happy, and memorable life. She is brave, hardworking, and the most understanding person I know. She has such a good heart and has so much compassion for other people, it amazes me. I may never find a way to express how grateful I am to have her as my Mother, but thank you Mom from the bottom of my heart, for everything you sacrificed so that I could be where I am today. I love you endlessly.

ANTONIO: My mother couldn’t be more amazing, I couldn’t count the things she has done for me if I had a million hands. She’s always been there from me through many ups and downs and has never turned her back on me. She spends all of her time making sure everyone else is happy without ever taking time to worry about herself. She is quick to remind us about how much she loves us every single day. I couldn’t ask for more from her, and I wouldn’t. I appreciate her more than anything that has happened to me. She was there for me when no one else was, and always did her best to make sure I got what I wanted, money problems or not. I love my mother and she deserves the world.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

HAILEY: I could not think of anyone else more deserving of the spotlight. I feel that I do not thank her enough for all that she has done for me. The least I could do in return of all of her hard work and dedication, is to show her how grateful I am to have the most amazing, hardworking, intelligent, loving, fun, and beautiful Mom in the whole world. I cannot thank her enough for all of the love and support she has, but I want to show her and the rest of the world how much she is appreciated. I love you Mumma, Happy Mother’s day.

ANTONIO: She is someone who is always trying to give before getting anything herself. I would love to see the smile on her face to be chosen.
