Personal: Summer resident as a child. I loved the town so much, I moved here full time approximately 1974.

Priorities: Lower taxes by regaining our roll as a national leader in economic development, womens rights and education.

Why I Want to Run: The economy in New Hampshire is the biggest issue before us. The “Top States for Business Rankings” (CNBC) was issued last month. It stated that for the past two years, New Hampshire fell from 10th to 34th place in the nation. This rating was based on infrastructure, transportation, and education. These are all areas where the GOP slashed funding in New Hampshire. By contrast, Maine, Massasachusetts, Conneticut, and thirty three other states have added jobs at a faster rate then New Hampshire. This resulted in a plunge to 37th place in job growth. There were over 1,000 layoffs in the health care industry because of $250 million cuts in funding. The university funding was cut by 50% causing more job loss, universities closing and significant tuition increases.

We need to regain our role as a national leader in economic development. I believe that this is an important goal and wish to be part of achieving it. Please vote for me Sept. 11 and Nov. 6. I want to be part of the team.

Sincerely,

Carolyn B. Webber
