It is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the Windham community and the region. Over the years, the Windham Community Bands have attracted many dedicated, talented volunteer musicians from Windham and many towns and cities throughout Southern New Hampshire and northeastern Massachusetts.

Its three groups, the Windham Concert Band, Windham Swing Band and Windham Flute Ensemble, rehearse and perform throughout the year.

Upcoming events include the Windham Christmas Tree Lighting at Windham Town Hall on Dec. 8 at 3:30 p.m., the seventh annual Holiday Concert at Windham High School on Dec. 16 at 2 p.m., and the 15th Annual Evening of Music dinner/dance/fundraiser at Castleton on March 2, 2013, at 5:15 p.m.
