
The district has filled a void at Golden Brook School by naming a new vice principal – Windham Center School teacher Rory O'Connor.
O'Connor confirmed the appointment in a message to Windham Patch on Thursday.
Christi Michaud served as vice principal last year, but moved up to take the open principal spot after Debra Armfield left the district in June for Timberlane Regional School District.

"Joining Mrs. Michaud and the extraordinary staff at GBS is a terrific opportunity and I am very excited to be in this position," O'Connor said. "I have had the opportunity to meet several staff members and the support I have already received is truly amazing. This year will be fantastic."
According to his teacher profile, O'Connor has taught at WCS since 2008 and is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire. He has a bachelor's degree in sociology and a master's degree in elementary education.

O'Connor also returned to get his education specialist degree (Ed.S) in administration and supervision, which he received in May.
He is formerly a graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry.
Ryan O'Connor, Rory's brother, is also an educator in the district at Windham High School.
