Windham Man, Allegedly Fires at Jogger, Turns Himself in
Robert Storie, 56, of Windham, was wanted on one felony count for using a .40 caliber handgun to settle a dispute.

A Windham man has turned himself into police after firing a Smith and Wesson .40 caliber handgun at a jogger during a disagreement on Thursday.
Robert Storie, 56, was wanted on a warrant on one felony count of reckless conduct for the incident, which occurred during a disagreement between Storie — who was driving a vehicle at the time — and a jogger near Shannon Road and Clubhouse Drive around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Salem Deputy Police Chief Shawn Patten said Storie turned himself in around 2 p.m. Wednesday, and that Storie "has been cooperative throughout the investigation."
Police had seized Storie's firearm before he turned himself in, according to Patten.
Police previously said the disagreement began when the jogger got "involved in a verbal altercation with a motorist at the intersection" of Shannon Road and Clubhouse Drive on Thursday.
Storie allegedly "nudged out of the road" toward the jogger, who "spit on the car after more words were exchanged." The jogger continued past the vehicle, at which point Patten said Storie pointed a handgun out of the driver-side window and fired one round in the direction of the jogger. Storie then allegedly left the scene.
Police recovered a shell casing near the intersection Friday morning.
Storie was released Wednesday on $10,000 personal recognizance bail. He is scheduled for arraignment in Salem District Court.
