Final 2012 Selectmen Meeting to Include Water Study Discussion
A light agenda is expected for the last meeting to be held on Thursday.

The final Board of Selectmen meeting in 2012 hits this week, and will include a discussion about a water study in town.
The agenda item, which will involve Ralph Valentine from the Windham Economic Development Committee, will include talk about funding opportunities for a Supply/Demand study at Exit 3.
Construction in that area expects to pick up in the next few years, especially in 2015, as the widening of Interstate 93 will also see a new Route 111 pass through that area of town.

Business construction in that corridor of town has also been constant with the addition of the ConvenientMD plaza.
Much of the I-93 bridge work has already started around Exit 3. Weather permitting, night work is also expected both today and tomorrow for the installation of structural steel on the I-93 southbound bridge.

The water study agenda item is one of the final items for the 4 p.m. meeting, which is scheduled for Thursday at the Community Development department.
Water has seen its share of headlines in the past in Windham, most after a developer stopped blasting at a site off Ledge Road after nearby homes were negatively impacted.
Recent ordinances have also been adopted by the town for both Cobbett's Pond and Canobie Lake to protect those two water bodies.
Other agenda items include a Senior Christmas Party donation acceptance and various year-end requests.
