Five Things: Easter Bunny Letters

1. TODAY'S FORECAST: Today and tonight will be mostly cloudy with a high of 39 by day and a low of 28 by night.

2. EASTER BUNNY LETTERS: Windham Recreation has once again teamed up with The Easter Bunny this year. If you would like your child to receive a letter from The Easter Bunny, please fill out the form, which can be found here, and return with a legal size stamped envelope. Your child will receive a personalized letter from the Easter Bunny and some surprises! Please return forms no later than March 20th. Forms can either be mailed (Recreation Office PO Box 120 Windham, 03087); or dropped off at the Recreation Office. For more information, contact Cheryl Haas in the Recreation Office at 965-1208.

3. SELECTMEN MEET: A short meeting will include a visit from a member of Sen. Jeanne Shaheen's office as well as a continued discussion on Interstate 93 transportation plan submissions.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORYOn March 4, 1861, Abraham Lincoln becomes the 16th president of the United States. In his inauguration speech Lincoln extended an olive branch to the South, but also made it clear that he intended to enforce federal laws in the states that seceded.

5. BACK TO SCHOOL: Windham students return to school this week after last week's February break.
