2. TRANSFER STATION HOURS UP FOR DEBATE: Public input is sought tonight regarding the hours at the Transfer/Recycling station in Windham, which were recently changed this past year. The public hearing will take place at 7 p.m. at the Community Development Department.
3. HOW TO HELP FAMILIES OF SANDY HOOK VICTIMS: Funds and other methods of assistance have been set up in the wake of the Sandy Hook shootingtragedy last week that claimed the lives of 26 people. Find out more about how you can help here.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: Near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, Orville and Wilbur Wright make the first successful flight in history of a self-propelled, heavier-than-air aircraft. Orville piloted the gasoline-powered, propeller-driven biplane, which stayed aloft for 12 seconds and covered 120 feet on its inaugural flight.
