1. TODAY'S FORECAST: Isolated thunderstorms are in the day and night forecast, with a high of 83 during the afternoon and an overnight low of 65.

2. LONDONDERRY PATCH ON ITS WAY: Almost one year to the date of the launch of Windham Patch, we will be adding an 11th Patch website to our New Hampshire family – Londonderry. The site is expected to launch in late August/early September, and will provide more of the same great content that all of our Patch sites offer. Let your neighbors in Londonderry know that a Patch is on the way for them.

3. YUM! CUPCAKES: The Planning Board will meet at 7 tonight with a minor site plan/change of use application on the agenda for a cupcake business. There will also be a workshop for 2013 town meeting. Take a look at the full agenda here.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On August 1, 1914, four days after Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, two more great European powers—Russia and Germany—declare war on each other; the same day, France orders a general mobilization. The so-called "Great War" that ensued would be one of unprecedented destruction and loss of life, resulting in the deaths of some 20 million soldiers and civilians and the physical devastation of much of the European continent.
