3. ...AND ANOTHER ONE ENTERS: Right next door to the now vacated Bella Vino spot is the incoming Black Moose Country Store. According to a sign on the window, the business will open in mid-September and feature penny candy, NH-made products, home decor, furniture and more. We posted a photo on our Facebook page yesterday and it received close to 40 likes over a mere eight hours. What do you think of the new business? Sound off in the comments.
4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Guion S. Bluford becomes the first African American to travel into space when the space shuttle Challenger lifts off on its third mission. It was the first night launch of a space shuttle, and many people stayed up late to watch the spacecraft roar up from Cape Canaveral, Florida, at 2:32 a.m.
