3. 23RD OUT OF 50: From the Community Development Department: According to a May 2012 N.H. Employment Security, Economic and Labor Market Information Bureau report, the Town of Windham is 23rd out of the top 50 centers of commerce in New Hampshire.  According to 2010 data, which is the most recent year for which number are available, Windham has 358 businesses with an average annual employment of 2,666 people.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On July 13, 1930, France defeats Mexico 4-1 and the United States defeats Belgium 3-0 in the first-ever World Cup football matches, played simultaneously in host city Montevideo, Uruguay. The World Cup has since become the world’s most watched sporting event.
