2. FUNERAL FOR DROWNING VICTIM: The funeral services for 41-year-old David C. Mason will take place at 11 a.m. at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, N.H. Cremation will follow.

3. PLANNING BOARD TO MEET: The board will talk about CIP project requests and tackle a previously discussed workforce housing project. The meeting will be at the Community Development Department starting at 7.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: After 59 years, the iconic Route 66 enters the realm of history on this day in 1985, when the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials decertifies the road and votes to remove all its highway signs.

5. 12U LITTLE LEAGUE TEAM COMPETES TONIGHT: The Windham 12 and under Little League squad will take on Bedford in the first game of the state tournament tonight at 6. The game will be at Griffin Park. We are working to provide as many game updates as we can for the Little League games this summer on our Windham Patch Facebook. Follow us there! The 10U team won 10-1 in first round action of their state tournament against Derry on Tuesday night.
