3. TOUGH DEFEAT FOR 12U LITTLE LEAGUE SQUAD: The 12 and under Windham Little League team suffered a tough 16-0 defeat to Bedford in the first round of the state tournament on Wednesday. The tournament is set up as double elimination, so the squad is still alive. We will continue to provide updates on all of the LL state tournaments on our Windham Patch Facebook page.
4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On June 28, 1997, Mike Tyson bites Evander Holyfield’s ear in the third round of their heavyweight rematch. The attack led to his disqualification from the match and suspension from boxing, and was the strangest chapter yet in the champion’s roller-coaster career.
