1. TODAY'S FORECAST: While a.m. showers are in the forecast, the heat from late last week is set to return, with a high of 94 expected today. That will dip into a low of 63 for the night.
2. WINDHAM FIREWORKS: We have received word that some residents have been confused about the two Windham fireworks shows that are set to take place on Town Day (June 30) and July 3.

The Town Day show is a larger show planned for Windham High School. The pair of Cobbett's Pond shows are smaller, and will be difficult to view if you are not a resident on the pond. It will not be possible to view those shows well from the Town Beach.
3. CAR FIRE VICTIM DIES IN MASSACHUSETTS: on I-93 Wednesday night was pronounced dead on Thursday. He was 39 years old.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: The Globe Theater, where most of Shakespeare's plays debuted, burned down on this day in 1613.
