After reaching out to Ayotte to offer help for the party, she suggested a fundraiser for the NHGOP.
NHGOP Chairwoman Jennifer Horn issued a statement on Portman's appearance:
Senator Portman has been a leader in the fight to promote pro-growth policies that will create jobs and restore fiscal discipline to Washington. We are very pleased that he has agreed to help our party raise the resources that we need to elect responsible Republicans in 2014 who will help control spending, reduce taxes and limit government.
