Former Windham Resident, Derry Fugitive Arrested in Florida
Michael Saulnier was wanted for probation violations stemming from his arrest for second degree assault.

A Derry fugitive and former Windham resident was arrested Monday night by the U.S. Marshals Service.
Michael Saulnier, 27, was arrested on a warrant for probation violations stemming from his conviction and sentence for second degree assault. He was also arrested for stalking last year. He was last known to reside in Derry, but investigators had learned that he had fled the area to Florida.
The warrant for Saulnier's arrest was issued on April 23 out of Hillsborough County Superior Court. Both the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and New Hampshire Probation and Parole requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals in an effort to locate and arrest him.

After Saulnier was featured as the U.S. Marshals' “Fugitive of the Week,” family and friends of his contacted him in Florida and urged him to return to New Hampshire and surrender. The process took a few days, but Saulnier did return to New Hampshire on Monday and turned himself in to authorities at the Rockingham County Jail on Monday night. He was held pending his initial court appearance in Hillsborough County on Tuesday.
