Get Your Chili AND Chowder Fix This Weekend!

Have a taste of the good times coming to you in New Hampshire this weekend.

1. Grab a spoon! The Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce and Opportunity Networks invite you to participate in the Second Annual Chili & Chowder Cook Off on Sunday, January 27th from noon to 4 p.m. at the Amherst Business Center located at 105 Route 101A. Professional and amateur chefs will be showing off their skills in both chili and chower-making. The cost is $10 per adult, $8 per senior, and $5 per child (ages 12 and under) to taste all the entries, with a nominal charge for beer and baked goods. Tickets are available at the door or by calling the Chamber Office at 673-4360.

2. Wine! Easter Seals will host their 10th Annual Winter Wine Spectacular on Thursday, Jan. 24 6-9 p.m. Don't miss the most spectacular wine event in the region! A night filled with nearly 2,000 quality wines with the winemakers from all over the world and fine food from the area's best restaurants and chefs! The event also features a large silent auction with nearly 100 items including sports memorabilia and packages, wine baskets, dining certificates, spa packages, and even a kitchen sink! Proceeds from the Winter Wine Spectacular benefit Easter Seals Children Services clients! Tickets are sold at the door, but registration required Grand Tasting is $65/person.

3. Old stuff! Don't miss the Milford Antique's roadshow at Hampshire hills this weekend. The show is open every Sunday through March 24, 2013.  Over 80 dealers from several states present a large variety of quality antiques and collectibles at reasonable prices. Show hours are short and sweet from 8:30- 11 am. Admission is only $5 from 8:30-9:30 am and free admission from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Free parking, ATM machine in lobby, cafe with brunch specials including fresh baked items and good coffee.

4. Yeehaw! Catch The Great American Trailer Park Musical this weekend at The Palace Theater in Manchester. There's a new tenant at Armadillo Acres—and she's wreaking havoc all over Florida's most exclusive trailer park. When Pippi, the stripper on the run, comes between the Dr. Phil–loving, agoraphobic Jeannie and her tollbooth collector husband—the storms begin to brew.

5. Bubbly! Bubblemania: Comedy with a Drip! will be playing at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord. International Soap Bubble Artist Casey Carle creates an event loaded with visual art, quick wit, swing music and amazing soap bubble manipulations - from stunning fog-filled bubble sculpture and bubble dance concerts to trapping people inside giant bubbles! Amazement and amusement for ages  5-95. Over 2,500 performances since 1989.
